PROJECT SUMMARY
The project aims to strengthen civic engagement and awareness of the values of the European Union among young people and residents of the Mirzec municipality. The initiative focuses on education regarding democracy, the rule of law, and fundamental rights through research, educational, and integration activities. The project aims to create a space for dialogue between young people, residents, and local authorities, and to strengthen the role of civil society organizations in the municipality.
PROJECT GOALS
- Increasing the level of knowledge among young people and residents of the Mirzec municipality regarding the values of the European Union, fundamental rights, and the principles of the rule of law.
- Developing civic competencies and increasing youth participation in public life.
- Assessing the level of knowledge, attitudes, and needs of young residents regarding civic participation.
- Creating and implementing modern educational tools to support civic education.
- Increasing local community engagement through integration events and dialogue with local government authorities.
The following activities were carried out as part of the project:
- Conducting surveys on the knowledge and attitudes of young people and residents of the Mirzec municipality.
- Developing and launching the interactive educational platform “Stepuś.”
- Preparation of educational materials and lesson plans for schools and community organizations.
- A local festival featuring elements of an outdoor game promoting EU values.
- An educational and promotional campaign on social media.
- Publication of a report with recommendations for local authorities.
- Organization of a town hall meeting facilitating dialogue between residents and municipal authorities.
MAIN ACTIVITIES

We want to find out what life is like for young people in our municipality – what works well, what is missing, and what changes are most needed. We’re asking about safety, events, opportunities for youth engagement, communication with the municipality, and your own ideas.
