Location: Ribes de Freser, Spain
Duration: 13–22 July 2025
Partners: Portugal, Spain, Germany, Romania, Poland, and Bulgaria
Project Description:
Invisible Memories was an eight-day artistic youth exchange in which — including travel days — young people aged 18–25 from Portugal, Spain, Germany, Romania, Poland, and Bulgaria took part. The initiative, organised by the Kunstant Association, created a safe, creative, and respectful space for artistic and intercultural work.
The aim of the project was to restore memory — both the living memory passed down through generations and the forgotten, silenced, and hidden stories embedded in the places where we live. Through theatre and art, participants explored the history of their communities, families, and regions, learning how to express these stories in an emotional, authentic, and artistic way.
Throughout the project, we developed curiosity for our past and identity, gained artistic tools to express emotions and memories, and created a space for dialogue, reflection, and collective action. The project concluded with a final performance, during which participants symbolically “gave voice” to stories that had remained invisible for far too long.
